Privacy policy
Who processes your data, exactly what is collected, what for, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights.
Data controller
Seila Ivars Ribes, Spanish tax number 48679866K, address at Calle Ifach 1 — 03590 Altea (Alicante) and email info@clinicapodologicaseila.com, is the controller of the personal data collected on this website.
What data is collected and what for
Only what is needed to reply to you, and only in the two forms on this site. Browsing the website requires no data at all.
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), subject and message. The subject is chosen from a closed list of three options —appointment, information or other— precisely so that the reason for a medical consultation is not collected.
- Appointment request: first name and surname, email, phone, and the day and time you request. They are used to manage the appointment and to reply to you, either accepting it or suggesting another time.
- In both cases we also store the date of your consent, the version of this policy and, to protect the forms against automated submission, a fingerprint of your IP address and your browser identifier. The IP address is NOT stored in the clear: it is stored as a salted cryptographic digest from which it cannot be recovered.
Legal basis
- Your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (GDPR art. 6.1.a). You may withdraw it at any time by writing to info@clinicapodologicaseila.com.
- Managing your appointment request and the steps prior to the consultation (art. 6.1.b).
- The legitimate interest in protecting the forms against automated submission and abuse (art. 6.1.f), which is what justifies storing the IP fingerprint and the browser identifier.
How long it is kept
Contact form submissions are kept for 24 months and then deleted automatically: a scheduled task deletes them every night once they reach that age. This is not a statement of intent, it is what the system does.
Appointment requests are kept for as long as they are needed to manage the appointment and evidence what happened, and are reviewed periodically to delete those that are no longer needed. For these there is NO automatic deletion period, and that is stated plainly rather than announcing a period that nothing would enforce.
Who else sees your data
It is not shared with third parties or sold. Only the providers needed for this website to work —hosting and email— have access, acting as processors, and they may only use it to provide that service.
No automated decisions are made about you and no profiling is carried out. If you want to know which specific providers are involved, you can ask by email.
Your rights
You can exercise them by writing to info@clinicapodologicaseila.com or by post to the controller’s address, stating which right you are exercising. There is no charge.
- Access your data and know what is done with it.
- Have it corrected if it is inaccurate.
- Have it erased when it is no longer needed.
- Restrict or object to its processing.
- Receive a copy in a portable format.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.
- Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if you consider your rights have not been met.
Health data and minors
This website does NOT collect health data. The forms do not ask about symptoms, diagnoses or treatments, and the subject field of the contact form is a closed list for that very reason. Anything concerning your health is dealt with at the appointment, within the clinical record, which is governed by healthcare legislation and not by this page.
If you request an appointment for a minor, we understand that it is done by the person holding parental authority or guardianship.
Security and changes
The site is served encrypted (HTTPS), the IP address is stored as a digest rather than in the clear, and access to submissions is restricted to the professional and to whoever maintains the site.
This is version 1 of the policy. If it changes, the new version will be published here; the forms record which version you consented to, so it is always possible to know what you accepted.
